WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
October 2007
Do you have a moment? If so, would you have a seat, clear your mind and think about and picture these words of encouragement?
Life seems to be moving very rapidly today. We need to take the time to refresh ourselves and review why we are doing the things we do. Maybe we need to prioritize and make tough decisions to do something we are not doing, or to stop doing something we are doing.
Homeschooling makes a normal life complex in many ways. But we don't have to stress out and lose sight of why we are schooling our children at home. It takes a brave parent to take on the task of educating one's children. We all have our different reasons. But we can make it work! It can bring rewards to our children and our families!
Think about what part may not be working for you. (Homeschool related or not.) Write it down. Think of the options to find resolve. Be wildly creative! Sometimes the thing, which seems to far out, may actually work! Sometimes we need to shake up our thinking and change the way we do things. For some of us, change is hard. But allowing things to continue the way they are can become even harder then the price of change.
Simple and small steps in a direction of resolve are great! Don't give up if nothing seems to happen right away. Have confidence that something will eventually give, and be persistent to continue in the necessary direction. These are important qualities to hold on to. Always believe in God's assistance behind the scene. Know that you can do it! Ask for prayer. Share your thoughts with someone you trust. Look for unexpected answers to come from unanticipated places.
Let the peace of God rule in your heart and mind, knowing that all things will work together for your good if you trust God!
Sincerely,
Terry Neven Principal
